Diabetes 2 and prediabetes

It is a vital statistic to know that more than 37 million Americans have diabetes (about 1 in 10) and approximately 90-95% of them have type 2 diabetes.  Type 2 develops in people of over 45 years of age. It is inexplicable, but nowadays more and more children, young adults and teenagers are developing it. I won’t explore the cause, but I would conjecture that it is because of the toxins in our diet and environment, 5G, and the stresses of politics and modern society which is anything but sane.

The difference between Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes is like comparing a Type 1 bowling ball to a Type 2 apple; they are both round. However the bowling ball can kill you if thrown at you and the thrown apple will give you only a bruise, but if unattended can lead to death. Both types require attention. One is manageable trouble, and the other has horrible symptoms if severe and is constantly life-threatening.

What Causes Type 2 Diabetes

Your pancreas makes a hormone called Insulin. It acts like a gatekeeper to allow the vital blood sugar into cells that your body uses for use as energy. With Type 2, your cells have insulin resistance, and your pancreas makes more and more insulin to make the cells open the door. Now there is more sugar than the cells are using and your pancreas cannot keep up. This sets things up for prediabetes and Type 2. Now comes the dangerous part. There is high blood sugar and the body can’t use it all, and this could result in heart and or kidney disease, and even loss of vision.

Type 2 Is Sneaky

It can develop over several years and not be noticed. I am not advising that you spend so much of your valuable life in worrying if you are sick or not, that is hypochondria, but it is advisable that you get a physical from time to time, including a blood sugar check.

You Manage Your Condition

If you are diagnosed with diabetes 2, remember your treatment is up to you.  You manage your own condition with support from your healthcare team, including your primary care doctor, and all the other care providers on your list, including family and other important people in your life. You should just watch for any change in yourself once you are diagnosed with it. Make sure your spouse watches over you carefully, checking for any marker that could suggest Diabetes.

I will be covering diet Diabetes III, but just keep in mind that healthy eating and being active are vital. Your doctor may prescribe oral or injectable medications or insulin, just to keep your blood sugar in the proper range. There are some supplements that give marginal help. It is vital to check your blood sugar regularly to keep it within the target is vital. Keep your blood pressure and cholesterol within range.

Everyone has stress, but you just have to watch it and hold on to peaceful thoughts and not get yourself involved in things like our national politics, war with China, personal problems, or other stressful thoughts when you feel everything is beyond your control and is going out of control.

Do physical activity, assure you get enough sleep, and relaxing exercises.

To Do:

I know that keeping to a rigorous and regular routine with boring things is hard, but you just must keep in mind if you have Diabetes 2, that your life may depend on staying to a healthy routine of diet, medication, and relaxation.
